How we work

Whilst our best creative ideas often come when we're in the shower or chatting together in the pub, we also have clear systems in place to ensure that our delivery of ideas is on time, on budget and safe, no matter what. In addition, our professionalism is recognised by a series of industry accreditations. In our hands, you're in safe hands.

Accreditations
  • ISO 9001
    Ferrier Pearce has full ISO 9001 accreditation. This is an international standard providing confirmation of our internal procedures and administration systems. We are now working towards Investors in People.
  • ISO 14001
    Ferrier Pearce is an ISO 14001 accredited company. This is an international standard providing confirmation of our environmental activities and the supporting audit programme.

    We are passionate about environmental issues. Based on our unique experience, we specialise in the development and implementation of sustainable initiatives and marketing strategies. We believe our strength lies in its comprehensive understanding of environmental issues associated with current planning, forthcoming legislation and future proofing. Using this extensive knowledge, we're able to advise clients of the most effective and relevant environmental marketing strategies. We have an unrivalled understanding of zero carbon communities and commercial construction schemes.
  • CHAS
    Ferrier Pearce is a CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) accredited company. All staff required to visit building sites hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards.
  • PRINCE2
    Ferrier Pearce uses PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) a process-based method for effective project management. It is a standard used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.

    It is designed to provide a framework covering the wide variety of disciplines and activities required within a project and provides a flexible and adaptable approach to project management.
  • D-U-N-S stands for "Data Universal Numbering System." It is a unique nine-digit numbering system that enables potential clients, suppliers and lenders to identify a business. it is recognised, recommended and/or required by more than 50 global, industry and trade associations, including the United Nations, the U.S. Federal Government, the Australian Government and the European Commission. Our D-U-N-S number is 769578287.

  • ISTD

    Ferrier Pearce has been formally recognised as a member of the International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD). The ISTD is an internationally recognised organisation that establishes and maintains typographic standards within the professional design and education communities.
  • NAPF
    The National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) is the leading voice of workplace pensions in the UK. They represent 1,200 pension schemes with some 15 million members and assets of around £800 billion. To support NAPF initiatives and its members activities we are one of 400 business members who provide specialist services to the pensions sector.
  • Good Homes Alliance
    The Good Homes Alliance (GHA) is a group formed by housing developers, building professionals and other industry supporters whose common aim is to close the gap between environmental construction aspiration and reality by demonstrating how to build and monitor homes which are sustainable in the broadest sense.
  • CarbonNeutral
    CarbonNeutral is the world's leading brand mark for action on climate change. Ferrier Pearce is proud to have been one of the first creative agencies to become a CarbonNeutral registered company. By supporting the CarbonNeutral Company we contribute to projects that absorb or compensate for unavoidable emissions. Whilst we appreciate that this is not the only solution, Ferrier Pearce has helped support a number of projects over the years including a major wind turbine project in New Zealand and the Scolel Te Social reforestation initiative in Mexico

 

Procedures
  • At Ferrier Pearce we handle a considerable amount of time sensitive data for our clients, therefore we are a registered Data Protection company. Our Data Protection Registration Number is Z9605710.
  • In the event of the unforeseen such as fire, storm, flood, data loss, failure of power supply, theft, lockout of premises due to industrial action, riot, civil commotion or acts of terrorism, we have the following procedures in place:
    • All previously approved artwork and images are backed off the main server and held off-site at a secure location.
    • A daily back up is produced at the end of each working day of up-to-date material and taken off site to a secure location.
    • There is a secondary studio at a different location, which has been equipped with an up-to-date computer system and networked. In the event of any of the above scenarios all work in progress will proceed as normal with the minimum of delays.
    • Ferrier Pearce insurance coverage also protects loss and damage of documentation whilst in transit or off-site, plus the replacement of all studio hardware as specified in the agreement terms of our insurance cover.
  • Ferrier Pearce has a policy of not undertaking work that would provide any form of a conflict of interest. If we are in any doubt about a particular project we seek the authority of the client before commencing work.
  • A key management responsibility covers reviewing measures regarding health and safety and implementing an effective policy of health and wellbeing for our staff and visiting guests. Ferrier Pearce is a CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) accredited company. All staff required to visit building sites hold Construction Skills Certification Scheme cards. We have published policies in place.
  • We recognise the importance of equal opportunities and deem discrimination as unacceptable, aiming to ensure that all prospective employees are viewed equally. We have published policies in place.
  • We work closely with our clients to ensure the communications we produce are accessible to all groups. We follow accessibility guidelines for both print and web based media, providing alternative formats such as braille, audio and large print documents to ensure that every recipient's needs are met. We also have a multilingual resource for international projects or local community engagement exercises where communications are required in other languages.
  • We're well protected by Professional Indemnity Insurance, Public Liability Insurance and Employers Liability Insurance.
