We have been formally recognised as an Investor in People. This prized recognition marks the end of a very successful seven months during which we have already collected a number of major industry communication awards as well as being reconfirmed as a CarbonNeutral Company following our first four-year review.
Having formally recognised our new Investor in People status the SE Regional assessment panel said: “The panel congratulates Ferrier Pearce on their achievement, especially as regards engaging stakeholders, investing in learning and development, and giving constructive feedback. The areas for development will help strengthen the organisation in the challenging commercial times ahead. Well done again.”
We embarked on our journey towards Investor in People recognition to help strengthen staff engagement with the business and develop personnel skills. Over the three years leading up to the successful assessment, and differentiating ourselves from other marketing and design consultancies, we have introduced structured job competencies, appraisals, staff development, service measurement and reward protocols.
At a time of difficult commercial realities, based on the structures provided by our Investor in People recognition and other accreditations, which also include ISO 9001 and 14001, we have been able to increase our workload and service quality levels whilst reducing overheads.
Investor in People assessor, Paul Cook, who interviewed a cross-section of the staff as part of the assessment process and recommended the recognition, said: “There is evidence to suggest that Ferrier Pearce is applying practice that goes beyond the threshold of ‘The Standard’ and there is certainly potential for the organisation to achieve one of the additional awards in the future.”
