A packed pensions sector audience saw Ferrier Pearce presented with the inaugural European Pensions Communication Award.
The European Pensions Awards recognise outstanding achievement in the varied fields of European pension provision, honouring the investment firms, consultancies and pension providers, across Europe, which have set the professional standards in order to best serve European pension funds.
Confirming the winner of the European Pensions Communication Award the judges remarked that: “Ferrier Pearce was chosen for their first-rate examples of communications service and their focus on member communication. The judges were particularly impressed with the innovation and dedication displayed by this firm, and regarded the entry as a cut above the others in the category.”
Having collected the award from Ruby Wax at the black tie dinner held at the Lancaster London Hotel on 01 July, Jon Pearce said: “This award once again emphasises how we recognise employees as internal customers and then treat them as individuals. Implementation of this simple philosophy has already increased membership uptake and scheme appreciation throughout all our client’s pension schemes.”
The European Pensions Communication Award 2010 recognises those firms that have used innovation and creativity to help improve pensions communication, either through a particular product, service offering or overall business approach. This was a new category launched this year in response to the growing recognition that good communication between sponsoring companies / employees / pension providers / members is key to improving the overall effectiveness of pensions today.
